27th of July 2015
Today I left the house around 8:30 am to arrive on time in school. On the bus I met one of the students, who is also from Germany and she told me there was going to be a test today. I was not prepared for this at all and hoped that only people from her class have to take the exam. But no, I had to take an exam for 1 and a half hour. The first four tasks were about finding synonymes and word chosing and the last four about reading comprehension. Fortuantely, we did not have to give the test to our teacher Ian in the end and corrected the tests ourselves. I thought the text exercises were the worst but it were the first ones I was really bad in. But I reached 55% what I was very happy about, because for the IELTS Test I think you have to get 60%. We also had a talk with Ian about our strengthes and weaknesses in English and came to the conclusion that I will compile a note book for the next 3 weeks where I will write down synonyms for a bigger variety of words in my essays. The first two breaks I spent in school with the Swiss and German girl, because the weather wasn't good anyway. The last break I wanted to get porridge, because it was so cold but the mortons does not provide porridge the whole day. So I bought a delicious baguette with dried tomatos, rocket and mozarella and went to M&S for some water again. After that I went back to school where I met with the German girl. The last lesson dealt with our opinion on advertisement and commercials. After that I went straight to the bus station driving to London/ Heathrow to say goodbye to my boyfriend, who left today for Hamburg. We had a few minutes together before he left, which was very emotional. Then I drove back to my accommodatio.
